NNPP disclaims senatorial meeting called by Mr. Victor Enemiye
The State Executive of New Nigeria People’s Party Party (NNPP) has disassociated itself from what it described as unauthorized” Edo central senatorial meeting called by Mr. Victor Enemiye.
In a statement, on Thursday in Benin City, the state chairman, alleged that Enemiye’s action, in convening a purported senatorial meeting, was not only illegal but self-serving and inimical to the progress and well-being of the party and its leadership.
The statement reads: “The attention of the state leadership of our great party has been drawn to an illegal gathering, which is said to be the meeting NNPP Edo central senatorial district convened and conducted by Enemiye at Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan North East, on Thursday.”
“Mr Enemiye gathered a number of people, who are largely unknown to the NNPP, and raised malicious allegations that are designed to cause disaffection within the ranks of the party, and/or engender opprobrium and portray the party as an irresponsible political institution before the Edo public, who love and have high regards for the NNPP as the credible alternative political party and the bastion of hope for Edo retrieval, particularly as 2024 beckons.”
The party appealed to the good people of Edo State, Nigerians, and intending governorship aspirants not to have any dealings with these persons and anyone who does so is at his or her own risk.
