New Year: Let’s Get Edo Working Again – Hon. Sergius Ogun Tells Edolites

Labour Party’s most credible aspirant for Edo 2024 governorship race and immediate past member of the House of Representatives, Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Ose Ogun has transmitted his New Year greetings to all citizens and residents of Edo state.

In a congratulatory message released today by his media team, Hon. Sergius Ogun called on Edolites to join hands with him to get Edo working again by unanimously supporting his aspiration to govern the heartbeat state in 2024. While urging them to sweep aside political and ethnic sentiments, the oil and gas top brass cum kind-hearted philanthropist appalled to all Edo sons and daughters to stand by him as he is fully prepared and ready to use the highest political office in the state to transform the fortunes of all for the better. ” I thank God Almighty for bringing us all safely through the year 2023 into the year 2024. I wish all citizens and residents of Edo state a joyous, prosperous and glorious New Year filled with the blessings, favour , riches and glory of God.”

” As we all know the year 2024 is a critical and crucial year as Edo’s off-cycle and off-season governorship election will be conducted in September as per INEC timetable. It is no longer news that yours sincerely is in the race even as it is an open secret that I have since pitched tent with the Labour Party. I am glad to announce that consultations have commenced in ernest and reports so far suggest that yours sincerely is having a good run.

It is on the strength of this irreducible and irrefutable fact that I ask for your prayers and support to win both the primaries and main election. When I become governor in 2024, I shall liberate Edo state from the hydra-headed monsters of underdevelopment, poverty, unemployment, paucity of public infrastructures, environmental degradation, agricultural neglect, rural decay and moral decadence. I will work round the clock to get Edo working again.”
