It was fulfillment for the followers of Dr. Mike Egbiremolen Egbemekhe yesterday as their principal obeyed the clarion call to service by picking the nomination form to contest the Esan North East Chairmanship seat at the PDP State Secretariat in Benin City, in concrete preparation for the fast approaching state council elections.
The Uzea-born legal practitioner told Urban Scoop Media in Benin after taking the nomination form that his mandate is to serve the people of Uzea and Uromi Kingdom, the constituent Kingdoms in the fastest developing LGA in Edo State. In his words “there comes a time in a man’s life that he sets every other thing aside to answer his people’s call to service. My people has been calling on me to serve in leadership capacity because of what they see in me and what they know I can do. I have always tried to dodge the calling thinking I can serve in other private capacity to help my people. I have however come to the realization that I need this capacity as an LGA Executive Chairman to better input my knowledge and training in moving the fortunes of my LGA to greater heights”, he said.
“Undertaking this historic commitment is not for my financial enrichment but a call to service. I need your support to succeed in this mission and I assure you that I will use my position to engender development, progress, and improvement of the living conditions of the people in the entire LGA. I will oversee a government that you will all be proud of”, he assured the people of the LGA.
