Forty-five year old man, identified as Monday, mostly known as Attacker, Tuesday, died after eating a local delicacy called Abacha, tapioca.
His son who ate the meal with him when he returned from school is critically ill in a hospital, our source has gathered.
The young man who lived at Uwani, Enugu was said to have gone to his usual Abacha joint to buy it as usual from a neighbourhood and was enjoying it when his son returned and joined him in the meal.
A source has it that while eating the food, Monday, suddenly started saying that he did know how he was feeling and expressed fears that the food must have been poisoned.
Soon after the complaint, his condition degenerated.
Blueprint gathered that Monday and his son were rushed to the hospital for resuscitation but he could not make it.
“Monday went to buy Abacha across the street from his compound in the evening. He came back and started eating it and his son that went to school joined his father, but not long after, he started complaining that the food was poisoned and before you know it, he started holding his stomach.
“When people gathered, he was rushed to the hospital but he died afterwards. His son who also ate the food is still in the hospital till now battling for dear life,” the source said.
Late Monday is said to have hailed from Opi in Nsukka local government area of Enugu State.
