INEC releases result of Edo State House of Assembly election
The Independent Electoral Commission has finally released the result of the Edo State March 18 state House of Assembly election.
The result was made available by Timidi Wariowei, HOD Voter Education and Publicity of the Commission in Edo State.
In the released result, the candidates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) won 12 seats from 10 local government areas while the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) won 8 seats from 7 local government areas. The Labour Party (LP) candidate won one seat in Oredo Local Government Area.
However, INEC said the election in Egor, Oredo East and Ovia South West are inconclusive and that a new date for a suplementary election will be announced later.
