Ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial election, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. (Sir) Clement Aziegbemi (ksji ) on Tuesday retracted his letter of resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and assured his full commitment to the party’s programs, especially that of delivering the PDP governorship candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state.
Hon. Clement Aziegbemi made this statement in a letter titled ‘Retraction Of Resignation Letter’ he personally signed and sent to PDP ward 5, Chairman in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The letter reads;
Dear Sir,
RETRACTION OF RESIGNATION LETTER
I wish to formally retract my letter of resignation from our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, dated 30th May, 2024.
I wish to appreciate the very senior and respected from within our party and outside the party from around the country for their quick and robust intervention.
As a loyal and faithful party member, I wish to assure all of my full commitment to the programs of the party, especially that of delivering our very popular candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
Finally, permit me to express my unreserved apologies for the inconveniences my initial action had caused the leaders and members of our great party.
