IGUEBEN PDP LEADERS PLEDGE TO REMAIN STEADFAST WITH THE PARTY
…applaud Aziegbemi, Ikhimi and other Special Committee members for their sacrifices
The PDP leaders in Igueben Local Government, have pledged to remain steadfast with the party. They informed the Edo Central PDP Special Committee, that there are no aggrieved members of the party in the local government.
Addressing members of the Special Committee during their tour of the local government, Hon. D. S Inegbebor, who spoke on behalf of the leaders, pledged that the leaders have long decided to stay steadfast with the PDP.
Speaking also, Hon. Omi Imosili told the Committee members that they have no aggrieved me member in the local government. He remained the Committee members that it was the votes from Igueben that made it possible for the PDP to deliver the only National Assembly seat it has in the State.
The State Youth leader, Destiny Oreye, praised the leadership qualities of Chief Tom Ikhimi. He appealed that the youths should always be carried along. He also pledged his loyalty to the leadership of Dr. Tony Aziegbemi.
Earlier, Chief Tom Ikhimi, thanked the leaders of the local government for the harmonious relationship that exists amongst them. He urged them to support the Edo Agenda for a Governor of Esan extraction.
Madam Isi Okpeku and the LGA woman leader, Mrs Tobi, appealed for free and fair processes that will lead to the emergence of a generally acceptable candidate that will win the elections for the party.
The State chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi emphasized to the leaders the need for all to support the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki. He said it is the best route to getting the Governor of Esan extraction..
In his welcome speech, the LGA. Party chairman, Hon. Liberty Ogboh told the Special Committee members that The PDP in Igueben is a united House. He said the party in the local government, will abide by the decision reached by the Special Committee in respect of the governorship candidate of the party.
Among the PDP leaders in the local government who came to receive the Special Committee were the LGA party chairman, Hon. Liberty Ogboh, Hon. D.S Inegbebor, Hon. Steven Idehenre, Hon. Ogie Inegbebor, The elected Counci Chairman, Ms Isi Okoeku, the State Youth leader, Destiny Oreye, Madam Josephine, members of the LGA Executive Committee, 5 leaders from each ward and all the 10 ward chairmen. Chief Tom Ikhimi, Hon. Chief Omi Imoisili and High Chief, Sir Hilary Ekhoye who hail from the local government are members of the Special Committee.
