Our attention has been drawn to a meddled, unfounded and propagandistic rumour that proliferated all web and social media platforms, purporting the withdrawal of interest by RT. Hon. Marcus Onobun to contest in the Edo State 2024 gubernatorial quest . We are not unaware of the heinous orchestration of these pessimistic coterie of critics who have again made an embarrassing charade of their normative mayhem. Unfortunately, such met the Waterloo into the abyss where it belongs.
In a democratic setting, it is apt for all aspirants to garner their arsenals towards a primary election, which is fundamental as to the practice of internal democracy, peculiar to contemporary practices of international best practices thereby birthing a candidate that shall represent the party in the general political milieu of other oppositions.

Thus, it is worthy to note and dispel all other claims that *Rt. Hon. Marcus Iziegbeaya Onobun* is still in the race to clinch the ticked for the Edo State gubernatorial election of 2024.
