Hon. Joseph Ikpea, a frontline Edo central senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the death of former military administrator of defunct Bendel State(now Edo and Delta), General Jeremiah Timbut Useni, as a huge loss to the country.
Hon. Joseph Ikpea stated this in his condolence message, he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Friday in Benin City.
He said Gen. Useni will be remembered for his contributions to the development of the state, country and his selfless service in the Nigeria Army.
The former Edo State commissioner for Oil, Gas and Solid Minerals, however, his condolences to the family, acknowledged the extraordinary roles played by Useni in developing the State served as the sole administrator.
He described the late army general as a distinguished statesman, a devoted leader and administrator, and a pillar of his native community in Tarok, plateau south constituency of Plateau State.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and for strength and solace for his loved ones as they navigate through this period of mourning.
