Hon. Ikpea Deepens Consultations, Host Ewatto Youths
….pledges to sustain Youth empowerment programmes
Aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), for the Edo Central Senatorial District, in the 2025 By-election, Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea, has reiterated his commitment to sustaining various youth empowerment intervention programmes as veritable means of fighting poverty and restiveness in his senatorial district.
Hon. Ikpea, who is also a Philanthropist and a grassroot leader cum politician, made the pledge while hosting the members and leadership of Ewatto Youths both home and abroad, in his residence, in Ewatto, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, on Saturday, to inform them of his ambition to represent them at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
He said before vying for the contest, his Foundation, had initiated various youth development programmes, aimed at equipping them with the skills to drive them into economic sustainability and entrepreneurship.
While saying that he had carried out many skills acquisition programmes in partnership with many communities in Edo Central, he decried an apparent apathy by the youths on issues of skills acquisition in preference for white-collar jobs.
Ikpea told the enthusiastic crowd present at the meeting that his representation as their senator, would provide a more needed enabling environment for the youths to explore and maximise their potential so as to add value to society and tackle insecurity in Edo Central Senatorial District to aid trade and other related businesses in Esan land without fear.
He commended the youths for their support given and love given to him and the party all these years and in the just concluded governorship election in Edo state, urging them not to relent.
In his assurance speech, Comrade Amos Uwamusi, who spoke on behalf of the youths urged all wishers and stakeholders of Ewatto to connect with their respective units and align their efforts in steadfast support of Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea.
He said the Dr. Ikpea’s candidacy represents more than a political aspiration but embodies the vision of progress and the potential for lasting development in Ewatto.
Comrade Amos Uwamusi further called for unity and action. “Let us rally behind Hon. Dr. Joe Ikpea, and ensures that Ewatto receives the representation it truly deserves at the federal level. I call upon every lover of progress and development in Ewatto to lend their unwavering support. Together, we can secure a future where Ewatto’s interests are championed and its prosperity realized,” he said.
