Accolades, commendations and endorsements flows in from around the world in celebration of the currently trending Devine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, an Esan-born Artist whose latest music track titled: ‘Calm Down’ hit one billion views in the online viewership box office and thus documented in the Guiness Book of Record.
In acknowledging the Esan-born and international record breaking music star, an equally accomplished Esan-born frontline aspirant for Edo State Governorship race, Hon (Dr) Joseph Ikpea specially put together a commendation message to celebrate Rema. This goes to show that in Esan and Edo State, prophets are honoured and celebrated both at home and abroad.
In a commendation message posted in the official handles of Hon Ikpea also sighted by Urban Scoop Media, the most capable and ready Edo Governorship hopeful passionately celebrated the young and up rising star for accomplishing such a monumental feat at his age.
“I am delighted by your massively growing popularity globally. Your success goes a long way to prove that we Esan and Edo People are inherently creative and industrious. Just recently, we celebrated our great footballer Osimhen for his accomplishment in the Italian League. And today we are celebrating you Rema whose music has made a record breaking impact globally hitting one billion views.

We know your inbuilt creativity and this again point to the fact that all what the Esan and Edo youths need is an enabling environment to thrive. That is what my government will provide when I emerge the next governor of Edo State”, the commendation message reads in part.
Ikpea also used the media to charge all Edo youths in all fields of human endeavour to imbibe the examples of Rema in their legitimate engagements. “There is no substitute for hard work. Nothing good comes easy. No matter what you are doing, put in some extra creative effort to get the best results so that you can stand out and be celebrated. Don’t settle for average or mediocrity. Aim for the top and you will get there”, he said in the commendation message.
