The Councilor Representing Ward 05 Esan Central local government who doubled as the chairman House Committee on Health Hon. George Washington Egbele, hosted the Youth Stakeholders of Ward 05 ECLG.
The Honourable councillor appreciated the youths for honoring his invitation, stressing that it was necessary for them to meet and discuss issues relating to the development of the communities that made up Ward (05) and also to intimate them of the developmental strides of his administration since he assumed the responsibility to represent them in the legislative chamber.
He then noted, that there are key projects being executed and some ongoing in the ward which are product of his influence as a legislator. one of them is the current Construction of the ultra modern market sighted in the ward by the executive chairman. And also the palliative work done on various roads in the ward as a result of the motion moved by him on the floor of the house under matters of the urgent importance with much attention to the failed portion of Irrua market road which was a death trap.
He expressed his gratitude to the Executive Chairman Hon. Paul Iyoha for giving priority to the development of his Ward through motions moved by him.
However, his capacity grew as he is well Known for his annual empowerment program for the Young students across Esan Central through awards of Scholarships for JAMB, NECO and WAEC enrollments , support for the market women and his Annual Health Program in Esan Central which has helped ameliorate their burdens.
Hon. Egbele while addressing the Youth said that, the purpose of coming into politics was to make contributions that will make life easier for the people and now we have a good story to tell in ward 5.
“PDP Government has made tremendous contributions to the development of this ward, Ranging from the numerous projects done by our National Leader Senator Engr Clifford Akhimienmona Ordia to our current efforts in sustaining those legacies”.
He further stated that he is very confident that they will deliver their units and ward for the PDP gubernatorial candidate come September 21 governorship elections and also charge the youths to remain good ambassadors of progress.
The spokesperson Mr Osemudiamen Ikhifa in his remarks commended the Honorable Councillor for being a good ambassador for the youths and for strengthening the confidence and trust reposed on him as the youngest member of the legislative arm.
