Edo 2024 governorship aspirant and former Commissioner for Oil, Gas and Solid Minerals, Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea has joined millions of Nigerians, Edolites and the Benin Traditional Rulers Council to console with the entire family of Edebiri over the demise of Chief David Edebiri, Esogban of Benin Kingdom.
In a condolence message personally signed by him and made available to newsmen, he described the demise of Chief David Edebiri as a big loss to the entire Benin Kingdom, Edo state and Nigeria at large.
”His death came as a rude shock to me. It came when he was most needed by us.
“Chief David Edebiri was a distinguished and detribalized traditionalist whose legacies were unbeatable till his last breath on earth. He was a peacemaker, full of wisdom, and he was a unifying force and a modifier. He was a pacesetter, and a courageous personality that treated issues constructively without taking sides. He came, saw, and conquered.
“On behalf of my family, the good people of Esan South East local government area of Edo State and supporters, I console the immediate family and Benin traditional council to take heart as I pray God to grant us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
