A former President of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), and CEO JOEFEL SUPREME Conglomerates, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguase Akhabue JP, aka JOEFEL has congratulated Senator Godswill Akpabio and Hon. Tajudeen Abbas for emerging as the 10th President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively following a keenly contested election.
Hon. Felix Ehiguase Akhabue also sent his congratulations to Senator Jibrin Barau and Rep. Ben Kalu as deputies to the presiding officers, and also specially Congratulated Prof. Julius Ihovbere for emerging as the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.
In a statement, Hon. Akhabue described the newly-elected presiding officers for the two chambers of the National Assembly as experienced Legislators and Dependable Leaders who are worthy of the offices for which they were chosen by their party and colleagues.
He, however, urged Akpabio and Abbas, and others to use their new positions to assist President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in translating his ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda into reality to meet the expectations of Nigerians.
Joefel, who is also a former Executive Chairman of Esan West Local Government Council also Congratulated other Legislators from across Edo state, especially His Excellency, Sen. Adams Aliu Oshomhole of Edo North, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, aka Akpakomiza, and Sen. Neda Imasuen, and the House of Representatives Members. He urged the elected legislators to use their new positions to give quality representation to their constituents and promote the interests of their state. He also reminded to always be alive in facilitating the Federal Government attention to the infrastructural deficit in our Dear State especially the Benin-Auchi-Okene Express Road and the Benin-Sapele Road which are the most pressing among the lots.
Hon. Akhabue also used the opportunity to remind the various Federal Legislators from Edo state the need for effective collaboration with their colleagues in ensuring good, effective, adequate, reliable, and dependable representation, as they can’t afford to go less. He also reminded them of the dire need for human development and youth employment especially as they go about their oversight assignments.
He therefore prayed for a fulfilling and successful tenure for the Legislators…..
