Hon. (Dr.) Felix Akhabue, aka JOEFEL Felicitates With the Christians and Citizens Celebrating Christmas
The leading Edo 2024 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant, *Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Godsent Akhabue, JP, aka, JOEFEL* has sent a felicitation message to Christians in Edo State and Nigeria at large for witnessing yet another Christmas, urging them to continue to live peacefully in love and harmony with one another and in tolerant with other religions.
According to him, “As the year 2023 draws to an end, I take much pleasure in sending out to you, on behalf of my family, The Staff and Members of JOEFEL- SUPREME Conglomerate LTD, and the JOEFEL Solidarity Movement (JSM) heartiest good wishes and warm season greetings”.
At Christmas, we reflect on the humble, symbolic and divine birth of Jesus Christ. In addition, we reflect on his message of Hope, Compassion, Salvation, Reconciliation, Forgiveness and Peace.
The sound of hymns, exchange of gifts and best wishes that characterized the celebration of the festive holiday, also provide us the much needed courage, aspiration and commitment to create a better society in which all humans are treated equally, virtuously and with dignity.
The Edo born leading business mogul/politician, and leading PDP aspirant, noted that being alive to witness another Christmas is a privilege, judging by the prevailing circumstances in the nation in particular and the world at large. This, he said, “calls for celebration”.
The former ALGON national president, however advised Christians to celebrate in moderation and to devote much time to appreciate God for His mercies, and to reflect on the developmental and general societal challenges in the state and country, with a view to seeking God’s intervention.
While noting that Jesus Christ lived up to his appellation as the “Prince of Peace”.
Joefel, The former Vice President, World Conference of Mayors called on the people of Edo state and Nigeria at large irrespective of their religious affiliations to tow the line of peace, love, patience, and understanding which the country needs presently. He therefore exhort all not to dwell on, and get despaired by the legion of problems bedeviling the country, but to look beyond the challenges to see the good side which it can offer.
Joefel urged Christians to emulate Jesus Christ in words and indeed, adding: “God has used Christmas to teach us the lessons of humility and that He has the power to do all things”.
