Recalled that few months ago, the Executive Chairman of Esan West Council, Hon. Collins Aigbogun flagged off the installation of Solar Grid in Ekpoma to supply electricity power to Ukpenu Health Centre and the Ekpoma market axis.
On Friday 17th of May, 2024, after a successful installation of the Solar Power Grid, the contractor officially handed over the project to the Executive Chairman of the Council which was thereafter commissioned for use.
Speaking at the official handing over of the project, the Council Boss said, the gesture is to ensure a regular and effective electricity power supply, as well as providing quality and affordable healthcare service delivery to the people. This will also serve as a boost to business activities in the market axis which will in turn contribute immensely to the economic growth of the local government.
With the completion of the Solar Power Grid, Ukpenu Health Centre is now running on a regular electricity power supply.
The Council Chairman who commended the contractor for a job well done, assured the people of a proper maintenance of the solar power grid on a regular basis for effective consumption.
Furthermore, the Council Chairman reaffirmed his total commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of his people noting that, the purpose of government is the pursuance of growth and development for the greater good of the people through impactful policies, initiatives and projects.
