It was jubilation glore weekend for children of Holy Child Motherless Babies Home, Ogui, Enugu as Global University Admission Consultancy (GUAC) Germany donated a variety of gift items to the home.
The items donated were a 50kg bag of rice, two cartons of Indomie noodles, two packs of diapers, one carton of Viva toilet soap, two packs of Omo laundry detergent, two packs of tissue paper and two liters of Jik bleach.
The group said the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting acts of kindness.
Making the presentation, GUAC CEO, Sandra Viehoever, expressed her deep-seated passion for philanthropy, specifically emphasizing her longstanding dedication to helping the less privileged.
She disclosed that her journey of supporting motherless children began at the tender age of 11 when she first visited a similar home while studying at Holy Rosary College (HRC) in Uwani Enugu.
Viehoever deeply reflected on the challenges the children face after enduring the loss of their parents, saying, “they deserve love, stability, and opportunities to thrive.”
“For me I really wanted to make a difference in my community especially the vulnerable children in the community knowing that my support could improve their lives with the belief that even small acts of kindness has a meaningful impact.
“When I think about the children in motherless babies homes, the feelings I do have is a mixed feeling of emotions knowing In my heart that these children are cared for and supported by dedicated individuals and organizations at the same time,” she said.
