A foremost international organization of Edo State people under the aegis of Edo Dynasty United Organization Worldwide ably led by Comrade Ehigie Arisco Osemwengie has called on the governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo to Uphold the rule of law in line with global democratic standard as he embark on his historic first tenure as the executive governor of Edo state.
In an open letter signed by the global president, Comrade Osemwengie, the organization passionately advised the governor of Edo state to face governance with a healing heart devoid of bitterness of the past while upholding the rule of law and tenets of democracy for the good of the state. The message reads in part.

As you embark on your new role as Governor of Edo State, I write to emphasize the essential values that should guide your administration: respect for the rule of law, local government autonomy, and a resolute focus on service delivery. These pillars are fundamental to building a thriving democracy and must remain central to your leadership.
Respect for the Rule of Law
Your transition from senator to governor places you in a unique position to exemplify adherence to the constitution and the laws of Nigeria. This requires respecting court decisions, safeguarding the rights of citizens, and maintaining transparency and accountability within your administration. By leading with integrity and fairness, you will inspire trust and confidence in the government’s ability to serve its people.
Local Government Autonomy
The autonomy of local governments is enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution. As governor, it is your duty to respect this independence, empowering local councils to effectively address the needs of their communities.
