Rt Hon Marcus Onobun KSC, honorable member representing Esan west, Esan central and Igueben federal constituency has laid foundation for the construction of a 20 bed capacity ultra modern primary healthcare facility at ward 6, Okuta-Ebelle, Igueben Local government area of Edo state.
The occasion which was a moment characterized with great excitement and relief to community leaders, youth, elders and interest associations citing the benefits, ease and access to quality health services it will offer upon completion.
Hon. Marcus cited the project was in line with his electioneering campaign promises to the people. He noted, “today, we gather to again site the construction of this health facility that will serve the good people of Okuta and its environs. We strategically chose this site haven consulted with community leaders to ensure, whatever is lacking in healthcare delivering, this structure will help augment the efforts of the state government for the good of the people”.
The community spokesperson, appreciated the focus of the federal legislator, whom he referred to as a man of his words and people-centric leader.
“The state guber is here and we know excellence must be chosen over mediocrity to attract projects as this and sustain the drive you have started. With the design, we know that maternity care for our pregnant/nursing women, curable ailments and severe health challenges can be managed here”.
In attendance at the foundation laying was Igueben Local government chairman, Hon. Clement Asuelimhen, Hon. Eugene ojie Inegbeboh, member, EDHA, Hon Joelson Egbe , Chief Oliha, leader of Okuta community, Odionwele together with other progressives.
