Marcel Eronmosele Imoisili is a brand new name in the Edo Central Political Dynamics. This young vibrant Egbele Uromi born Industrialist is loaded with fresh ideas and insights on how to move Esanland in the right direction. In this exclusive Interview with Urban Scoop Media, the ACC Irrua Old Boy talked extensively on his humble background, education, career and his historic ambition to represent Esanland at the senate. Urban Scoop News: Please tell us your full names, place of origin in Esanland?
Marcel: My name is Mr. Marcel Eromonsele Imoisili, and I hail from Egbele Uromi, in Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Urban Scoop News: Tell us about your educational background from basic educational level to the highest level you have attained?
Marcel: I began my education in Uromi Government Primary School from where I proceeded to ACC Irrua for my secondary education. I proceeded to the University of Benin, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration before furthering my education abroad,. I obtained some professional certification in real estate and tax administration
Urban Scoop News: Give us a brief history of your career experiences?
Marcel: I have had a fulfilling career spanning several decades. I am first of all a Trader and industrialist with a strong focus on business development and innovation. My work has included rice trade from Thailand to building one of the best toilet roll factory in Nigeria, right now I run a National lottery company mobile lottery Nigeria Ltd “MLOTTO” a National licensee .
Urban Scoop News: We are aware that you are currently vying for a political position in Esanland. Can you tell us about it?
Marcel: Yes, I am vying for the position of Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District (Esanland). My goal is to provide visionary and people-oriented representation that addresses the real needs of our people.
Urban Scoop News: What are the motivations behind your ambition to represent the entire Esanland at the National Assembly?
Marcel: My motivation stems from a deep desire to bring innovative leadership to Esanland. I believe in the untapped potential of our people and communities, and I am driven to address pressing issues like police reforms, access to capital for economic growth, infrastructure development, and leveraging technology to enhance agriculture and industrialization.
Urban Scoop News: How much of Esanland do you actually know?
Marcel: I know Esanland intimately, having grown up in Uromi and maintained close ties with communities across all the local government areas. From Irrua to Ubiaja, Ekpoma, and beyond, I understand our people’s struggles, their aspirations, and the unique cultural and economic challenges of our region.
Urban Scoop News :Let’s talk about Uromi, your place of origin. Tell us about your impact in the lives of your people and Esanland generally.
Marcel: I have championed empowerment programs, I don’t like to boast about anything I do for people and I will like my people to speak about that, all I can say is I will never stop in helping my people. Helping my people is work in progress.
Urban Scoop News: What do you hope to do differently from those before you if you emerge?
Marcel: I aim to redefine true people-oriented representation by prioritizing accountability, transparency, and impact-driven initiatives. My focus will be on:
• Establishing equity-based financing and loans to spur economic growth.
• Enhancing security through modern technology and proper equipping of law enforcement.
• Industrializing Esanland, particularly through agro-based industries that align with our cultural and economic strengths.
Urban Scoop News: Why do you think that you can be trusted with such an elevated position?
Marcel: My track record as an industrialist and philanthropist demonstrates my commitment to improving lives. I have always prioritized integrity and accountability in my endeavors. I firmly believe in servant leadership, where the people’s needs come first, and I am committed to delivering on my promises.
Urban Scoop News: Your name seems to be very fresh in the political dynamics in Esanland.
How are you prepared to scale the hurdle considering the big names vying for the same position?
Marcel: Fresh names often come with fresh ideas. I bring a unique blend of global exposure, local understanding, and innovative thinking. I am committed to engaging with the grassroots, listening to their needs, and leveraging my network to deliver results. My focus is on solutions, not competition.
Urban Scoop News: In terms of money-bag politics in the nation, how are you prepared to overcome this challenge?
Marcel: Money-bag politics is a challenge, but I am determined to demonstrate that integrity and vision outweigh money. My campaign is rooted in engagement and trust. I rely on the power of the people, particularly those who are tired of politics without substance, to stand with me for genuine change.
Urban Scoop News: What will Esan people expect from you when you emerge as Senator?
Marcel: Esan people can expect bold leadership that addresses their most pressing issues:
• Economic empowerment through job creation and access to capital.
• Improved security, especially removing paramilitary harassment from our roads.
• Infrastructure development that attracts investors and grows local industries.
• Inclusive governance, ensuring every community’s voice is heard and represented.
Urban Scoop News: Say something about the average Esan man, his strongest and weakest points in the Edo political equation.
Marcel: The strongest point of the average Esan man is his resilience, resourcefulness, and cultural pride. Esan people are united and hardworking, with a deep desire for progress.
The weakest point is a lack of cohesion in political advocacy, which sometimes dilutes our collective strength. If we can unite under a shared vision, Esanland can achieve unparalleled progress.
