Pharm (Barr) Egbiremolen Egbemekhe is the most educated, loyal, and ready aspirant. With degrees in Pharmacy from the famous UNIBEN and as a Doctor of Laws, coupled with his wide array of experience in the world of works, he stand the brightest and better chance to accomplish massive development for Esan North East.
In this mind blowing encounter with Urban Scoop Media, the Uzea born PDP party loyalist took a voyage round his background, education, work experience most especially what he will do differently when he emerge victorious.
According to him, he is the most qualified to take the position considering his loyalty to his party against all odds he delivered his units and circle of influence to the Party in all the recent elections and the fact that his community have never produced the LGA Chairman or House of Assembly member since the creation of the Earth. Urbanscoopnews: Kindly tell us your name, origin, educational background and work.
Dr. Mike: I am Dr. Barr. MIKE EIGBEMEKHE from Ewoiki-Uzea, Esan North East LGA, Edo state. Born into the humble, Disciplined and noble family of EIGBEMEKHE OMOAKA AIYEGBENI.
I started my primary school at Ewoiki Primary School and afterwards proceeded to Benin City for my secondary school, which l completed in 1988.
I proceeded to the University of Benin, Benin City. I graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, with a B.pharm degree. Because of my appetite for education, subsequently l went back to university and got my LLB degree in law. I went to the Nigerian Law School and got my BL certificate and was called to Bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
I also went back to school to get my LLM (masters degree) in law, which came out with an outstanding GPA of 4.9. I am currently a PhD research student in law. I also obtained my Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in Clinical Pharmacy.
I worked briefly in Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City where I did my internship. I was the Superintendent
Pharmacist of Evangel Model Hospital, Benin City. Superintendent Pharmacist at Ede Pharmacy. I also work as pharmacist in charge of administration in Godal Pharmacy Ltd. My other work profile are as follows: as director in Fortune Mult Inv. Ltd. , as director in Amenity INV Ltd and as shareholder & director in some other pharmaceutical, Chemicals and Radiological materials
Urbanscoopnews: Impressive resume! Before now, have you ever held any political office?
Dr. Mike: Yes. I have done that in schools and in clubs that are related to the human welfare . But l didn’t want to go into secular politics so as not to be politically contaminated. Their insatiable greed for money and the tendency to remain in power in perpetuity, even when the masses are not feeling their impact , is discouraging. I finally decided now to be in active secular politics because I discovered that is the only way I can increase my reach on the vast majority of the masses, more than the little effort l have been making as individual.
*Urbanscoopnews:* We learnt that you recently picked a nomination form to run for an office, can you tell us about this?
Dr. Mike: Yes. I picked the forms. My plan to become the Local government council chairman of Esan North East, is not an accident or trial and error or circumstantial decision. I want to create a new modern city or a satellite town out of our headquarters Uromi . Which could be named after our Onojie of Uromi. I want to put the zeal into our local government staffs. When they work, they feel that they are working for themselves and our future generations. I want to create more markets in different parts of the local government so as to employ our people. The greatest employment in life is trade. I must declare free education. The poor man’s children must have equal opportunity to excel in life.
The major unique thing about this my incoming administration, is the fact that it is going to be collective decisions. Because the party leaders must meet regularly to contribute their ideas and input on the programmes that is best for our people.
Urbanscoopnews: Tell us about Esan North East LGA, how much of the communities do you know?
Dr Mike: I know all the communities. I may not have lived in all of them. Didn’t l also campaign with my party everywhere? My foundation house and personal house is in Uzea. I also have a house in uromi. Those two kingdoms make up E.N.E LGA. I just said above that it is not going to be like sole administrator. The local government council is not a personal business. So the party leaders and the elected executive of the Council, the councillors & supervisory councillors must meet regularly to deliberate on the problems from different communities, prioitised them and solve. Urbanscoopnews: Coming to Uzea your community, how at home are you with your people?
Dr Mike: Hahaha. You want me to praise myself? IN THE WHOLE OF EDO STATE, I AM ONE OF THE VERY FEW, WHO WAS SO FIRM ON THE GROUND THAT THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL CONSPIRACY AGAINST PDP IN THE LAST GENERAL ELECTIONS COULD NOT DEFEAT ME. I won my POLLING UNIT in all the elections. For presidency, for senate, for house of Rep, for the Ward in the Edo state House Of Assembly Election.
My community feels my impact, they see my sincerity of purpose and they know that l am dependable.
Note: I have organized free medical health outreaches, free Eye examinations and treatments, free distribution of prescribed eye lenses, free distribution of insecticide treated mosquito repellant nets, counterpart funding for community developments, scholarships and free distribution of academics materials, parliatives or stomach infrastructures is not left out. Lol.
Urbanscoopnews: Tell us about PDP your party, how certain are you that you will clinch the ticket?
Dr. Mike: Will my party give me the ticket, yes!!!. If the party considers loyalty and asset, l will be returned unopposed. How many of the aspirants were bold enough to openly identified and campaign with the party and governor’s candidates? How many won their POLLING UNIT for president, Senate, House Of Rep, and for state House Of Assembly? I DELIVERED ALL. Firstly, l have always worked for the party and its candidates selflessly. 1. During the last governorship election of Governor Godwin Obaseki second term, l contributed financially to the party to start the campaign. 2. I participated in all the campaigns. 3. I financed the posters , billboards and campaign surveniers, face caps, Tshirts , some of which I officially handed over to the party and they were distributed to all the wards in the local government. 3. I won my POLLING UNIT, my community and the ward for that election. 4. In this 2023 general elections, l contributed to some candidates expression of interest forms and Nomination forms, though some of them didn’t finally contest because of party and court decisions. 5. When the party and court decided the candidates, l managed about 80% of their social media campaigns. I participated in all the campaigns for Atiku, national assembly and state House Of Assembly Candidates. 6. I also financed some of the posters, surveniers and campaign materials. 7. Against all odds, l delivered in all the elections. For both federal and state. 8. Lastly, the party fundamental objective is EQUITY, FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE. Sec. 7,2c of PDP Constitution. So my ward six (6) has never produced Elected local government council chairman, House of Assembly member or House Of Rep; since the creation of the earth. So where do you think, that the council chairman seat should be zoned to?
Urbanscoopnews: Considering the factor of money bag politics, how prepared are you?
Dr. Mike: Money bag politics? That question should have gone to those who have earned political money. I have never earned POLITICAL MONEY all my life. As at now, l am a political orphan without a godfather. Moreover l don’t see it as a do or die affair. But l just feel that for once, let the masses in Uromi and Uzea, have a voice and feel some dividends. SO l NO DEY GIVE SHI-SHI .
Urbanscoopnews: What will you do differently if you emerge victorious?
Dr. Mike: What l will do differently is that the party leaders will be a part of the collective decisions on developmental projects. The traditional rulers in the local government areas will take over the security votes and give me a perfect peaceful local government area. The former ancient BENIN EMPIRE was as big as four countries put together today. How was the Oba of Benin and his chiefs managing to keep peace and security, without the white man’s police and army? The traditional rulers can do wonders if we focus attention on their importance. I will tidy up each ward so that you don’t need to transport to another ward for schools or health-care. With solar we can light up some community without electricity. I will be very close to our House Of Assembly member-elect (Mrs Maria-Edeko. ESQ), the ministry and commissioner for works and housing, education and health.

Dr Mike: MY MOST UNIQUE SELLING POINTS is that I am very Very selfless. I am the most humble and respectful man. Epitome of humility, respect, sincerity of purpose and dependability. I respect and keep promises.

Dr Mike: My people, we can not remain where we are now. It is possible to create better lives for everyone. Let us not try to create a class differences but let us try to bridge the gap , so that the masses can also excel.
