The Ewu Progress Foundation (EPF), a foremost community development organization in Esanland has concluded plans to host it’s annual Eilu Sports Festival and Health Outreach During the forthcoming Easter Holiday.
According to the events publicity materials made available to Urban Scoop Media in Benin City by the Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr Fabulous Ikpotoki, the group stated that the two events holds side by side annually. According to him, “the fixtures of the football matches has kicked off since last weekend and Marches are scheduled to hold during the weekends with all the fixtures climaxing at the grand finale on Easter Sunday at Idunwele Girls Secondary School Football Field, according to the traditions of the tournament”, he said.
The health outreach will thereafter follow suit on Easter Monday. The annual event is aimed at promoting unity and progress among the constituents of Ewu through sport while the health outreach seeks to address the health needs of Ewu community residents”, the statement reads in part.
EPF also used the medium to inform the indigenes of Ewu land of the fast approaching events and to cordially invite them (home and abroad) including the friends of Ewu and talents scouts to make arrangements to grace the events.
