The Esan Youths Organization (EYO) a non-partisan worldwide group of Esan people has graciously congratulated the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Hon Denis Idahosa over their victory at the Edo State Election Tribunal Court yesterday.
In a letter sent to the governor’s office in Benin City, the state capital as signed by the EYO National President, Comrade Kingsley Ohens, the organization congratulated the duo on their victory and called on the entire Esan people worldwide, irrespective of party affiliations to join hands with the Okpebholo led administration to move the state forward.
“It’s time to come together as one to support our son to succeed in the governance of the heartbeat state. Our joy as a pan-Esan organization is that the much talked about Esan agenda has be actualized in the person of Senator Monday Okpebholo. It’s time to set our differences aside and put hands together to support our brother to succeed in his mission to develop Edo State”, EYO stated in the congratulatory message.
“The loudest opposing voice should not come from Esanland considering the fact that Esan agenda has been actualized. Whether it’s Okpebholo or Asuen, both are our sons. It’s time to sheath our political swords and join hands with our brother Senator Okpebholo to move our dear state further. There is time for everything under the sun. The time for fighting and criticism is over, it’s the time to look beyond our political difference and work with our son to reposition Edo state for greatness”, the statement reads in part.
