Ekpoma police misconduct: IGP orders erring cop to report to Force Headquarters, Abuja
The Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the policeman who ran a vehicle over a citizen at Ekpoma in Edo State, to report to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, for further action.
Egbetokun has ordered the unnamed erring cop to report specifically next Monday.
Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Recalls that the condemnable incident happened on Thursday, June 29.
However, the IGP has implored the people of Ekpoma to remain calm, as the present Nigeria Police leadership would not condone such an act of unprofessionalism and illegality.
