The Edo State government has partnered with the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) to eradicate estimated billings and open easy access for about 500,000 smart meters for customers in the state.
Speaking at the crucial meeting, the Edo State Commissioner for Mining and Energy, Hon. Ojiefoh Enaholo, said that the era of estimated billings and electricity theft will soon be a thing of the past in Edo State, and customers in Edo will now enjoy pay as you use services, saying that Edo people deserved the best from the government.
Hon. Ojiefoh advised customers in the state to start applying for meters from 14th of August and visit the ministry for more details.
“Governor Obaseki’s electricity reforms have opened up a sustainable electricity market for Edo people” he stated.
