Edo in Diaspora backs Asue Ighodalo for Governor

The director general Edo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign council, Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemen, has met with a Frontline social political support group, the Ighodalo/Ogie Choice 2024 interim steering committee in United Kingdom.

The Director General spoke extensively of the credible accrual beneficial gains of continuity in a tenable government, and also emphasised areas of necessary progressive concentration.
He tasked the committee members, to arrange an auspicious time and date when our indubitable Principal Dr. Ighodalo and himself will entertain a Zoom conference meeting, for the mutual benefit of a wider audience.
The leader of the group, Dr. Peter Uwaibi, thanked the DG, enormously, for his inestimable continued altruistic contributions in uniting and strengthening the party’s structural success in Edo State.
He further reassured the DG that the diaspora will encourage friends and family members at home to transfer their PVC voters cards to any registered voters centre in Edo State. This he asserted, will ensure any vote cast will count.
Hon. Henry Edeko who was also present at the interactive session, avowed his unflinching support, for projects aimed at the total transformation and emancipation of the Edo people.
Nicholas Omhenke Esq, who praised the masterly diaspora leadership of Dr. Uwaibi, reiterated the need to form a strong formidable diaspora front, for desired success.
Chief Ubaka Achebe acceded and pleaded enjoining all members efforts in sensitising both urban and rural communities of the need for them all to come out and perform their civic rights.
The acting secretary general, Solomon Obazee Esq, expressed his unreserved gratitude and boundless admiration for the tireless hard working DG, and extolled him, for finding time to engage positively with the diasporas and on his part, he will criss-cross the nooks and crannies of Edo State to ensure a win for the party.
