Edo Guber: PDP camp swells as NNPP aspirant, Omonigho, collapses structure for Ighodalo

Former governorship aspirant of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Edo State, Princess Omonigho Oribhabor Obiefuna, has thrown her weight behind the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 21 gubernatorial election, Dr Asue Ighodalo.
She made the declaration known to newsmen on Thursday in Benin City, the Edo capital, saying she is very comfortable supporting the only credible candidate in the governorship race in Edo.
The former governorship aspirant, has also pledged to work with her structure to ensure victory for the PDP candidate in the upcoming gubernatorial poll.
Princess Omonigho stressed her belief in Ighodalo’s vision and leadership, stating that: “Edo State needs a personality who will continue the development process of the state which His Excellency, Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has put on the ground. A personality who knows the rudiment of making a state economically strong on all frontiers.
“Dr. Asue Ighodalo, whose name resonates with compassion and selflessness, stands as a shining example of what it means to be a true leader, a people’s person, and a philanthropist extraordinaire.
“Edo State is blessed to have a candidate who radiates unwavering empathy, a quality that instantly draws people closer to him. It is not just his position that endears him to the people, but his genuine love for humanity that shines through in every action and decision he makes,” she said
She charged the good people of Edo State to come out enmasse and vote for Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie of the PDP with the umbrella as the symbol comes September 21.
