Edo Finance Commissioner, Hon. Aguele-Kalu Shines At The BRACED Members States Meeting In Uyo
The Edo State Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Hon. Adaze Aguele-Kalu with the Economic Planning of the BRACED member States met in Uyo to discuss ways to further strengthen collaboration and enhance the business environment among states.
The Edo State finance commissioner Adaze Aguele-Kalu discussed the commission’s aims to drive regional economic cooperation and integration for sustainable development, leading to the establishment of a robust regional economy for the collective well-being of the people in the region.
BRACED Business Council is to strengthen collaboration and enhance the business environment, attracting investors and businesses to the region.
She highlighted key accomplishments of the Obaseki Administration, including human capacity development, infrastructure improvements, educational advancements, renewable energy initiatives, security enhancements, mechanized agriculture, and advancements in financial management.
She further stated that the Governor Obaseki led administration has also made significant progress in developing long-term master plans and employing technology to streamline our operations. Other states now plan to emulate Edo State to ensure uniformity among member states. “Our progress speaks for itself.”
The BRACED Commission was set up in 1999 by Governors of the six South – South states in Nigeria, to foster regional economic cooperation and integration with a view to achieving sustainable development through the creation of a strong regional economy, for the collective benefit of the people of the region.
