Edo Decides: Kede Aihie Endorses Ighodalo for Governor, Urges Progress Over Stagnation
Reported by Kingsley Ohens
BENIN CITY, EDO STATE – With the Edo governorship election just around the corner, Kede Aihie, a prominent Edo citizen, has thrown his weight behind Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement released by him, Aihie emphasized the need for Edo State to move forward, rather than slipping back into the past. He praised Ighodalo’s “Pathway to Prosperity” agenda, which builds on the progress made in education, agriculture, health, security, technology, and institutional reforms over the past eight years.
Aihie highlighted Ighodalo’s leadership experience, commitment to reform, and proven track record of creating opportunities for Edo and Nigerian citizens. He also commended Ighodalo’s empowerment of youth in the legal profession through his top commercial law firm.
In contrast, Aihie criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for lacking leadership and vision, and warned against returning to the politics of the past, marked by incompetence and disrespect for women.
Aihie concluded by endorsing Ighodalo for Governor of Edo State, urging citizens to choose progress over stagnation and hope over fear.
The Edo governorship election is scheduled for September 21st.
