Edo 2024: Urohi Kingdom Adopts Ighodalo

As the people of Edo State across all the local government areas continue to declare their support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie Esq, the Urhohi Kingdom has thrown its weight behind Ighodalo as its adopted candidate for September 21.
Ighodalo who was on a private visit to the kingdom with his wife, Dr. Mrs. Ifeyuwa Ighodalo, his brother, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, and some of his friends, to visit a chieftain of the party, took an unexpected turn when it evolved into a significant political development.
The visit culminated in the commissioning of a healthcare facility, and the adoption of Ighodalo as the sole candidate for the September 21, 2024 election by the Urhohi Kingdom.
The healthcare facility, attracted by Rt. Hon. Joe Edionwele, a former National Legislator, is a state-of-the-art center that addresses the pressing need for quality healthcare infrastructure in the Urhohi Kingdom and surrounding communities.
The event, which took place on August 5, 2024, was attended by dignitaries from across Edo State, including a former Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly and presently representing the good people of Esan Central, Esan West, and Igueben Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, the Esan West Local Government Area Executive Chairman, Hon. Collins Aigbogun, the Director, Esan Central LGA PDP Campaign Council, Most Superior Evang. Adekunle Oboh, the PDP Chairman, Esan Central LGA, Apostle Matthew Ebhotemen, the Urhohi Traditional Ruler, the Onojie of Urhohi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Uwuigbowen Otoikhine Dominic 1, and his Chiefs, political leaders, and community stakeholders.
The adoption Ighodalo as the sole candidate by the Urhohi Kingdom is a significant boost to his campaign, demonstrating the confidence that the people of Urhohi Kingdom have in his leadership abilities and vision for Edo State.
Ighodalo emphasized the importance of quality healthcare in improving citizens’ lives during the commissioning ceremony stylishly and smartly co-commissioned with his wife Dr. Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo. He pledged to prioritize healthcare development in Edo State, ensuring access to quality medical care for all citizens.
The commissioning of the healthcare facility marks a significant milestone in Ighodalo’s campaign, demonstrating his commitment to improving the lives of Edo State citizens.
The collaborations of Edionwele, Marcus, and Aigbogun portend a bright future for the Urhohi people, as they work together to bring about meaningful development to the community.
Additionally, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, representing Esan Central, Esan West, and Igueben Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, promised to follow up with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to complete the Urhohi Road, sink immediate water boreholes, and address the Urhohi power problem before mid-September 2024. These were endorsed by the Man Wey Sabi, Barr. Asue Ighodalo.
Urhohi sometimes spelt as Urohi is a kingdom in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. It is among the several kingdoms in Esanland. The kingdom is governed by a King called Onojie. The sixteenth Onojie of Urohi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Uwuigbowen Otoikhine Dominic 1, is himself a Man of God, the first in the Universe who is also presiding over a Church in his Palace. The Urhohi Kingdom, known for its prophetic statements, has declared its support for Barr. Dr. Ighodalo, following previous accurate prophecies regarding Rt. Hon. Chief Joe Edionwele, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun and many others. This adoption makes Urhohi Kingdom the first to adopt Barr. Dr. Ighodalo as its sole candidate, paving the way for other kingdoms, political parties, and groups to follow suit.
