Edo 2024: Ighodalo Promises To Revamp Agric, Ensure Infrastructural Devt In Okada

The arrival of Dr Asue Ighodalo/PDP Ward To Ward Campaign Train to Okada sparked a spontaneous celebration typical of annual carnivals.
The campaign which was held at the Open Field by Estate Gate in the town, brought together party loyalists and supporters from wards 1, 2 and 3, that is Okada West, Okada East and Uhe.
The ecstatic crowd sang and danced to campaign songs blaring from mounted heavy speakers.
Addressing the crowd, Ighodalo expressed happiness that the good works of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion in the community is still very much visible for all to see. He lauded his foresight and compassion for establishing a University in the community.
He then promised that if elected, he would ensure that cash crop farming, particularly, Cocoa is revamped and prioritised infrastructural development of the area.
He encouraged the party supporters to come out enmasse on election day and vote correctly for the PDP, wait patiently for the votes to be counted, record the results with their phones and follow it up to the collation centre.
He assured the people that that time has come for Edo State to move into a First World.
The leadership of the Yoruba Community in Okada promised to support Ighodalo and cast their votes for the PDP in the coming election.
From there, the campaign train headed to Utoka/Iguosodin where the candidate promised to ensure that the Utoka/Iguosodin Road in the area receives priority attention if voted into office. He also promised electrification of the area among other things.
The train then headed to Ekiadolor. There Ighodalo assured the people of good governance. Also speaking at Ekiadolor,the running mate, Osarodion Ogie Esq, appealed to the people to “trust us with your votes and we will not disappoint you.”
At Okuku Ward which was held at the Oluku Primary School, addressing the radiant crowd, Dr. Ighodalo assured the teeming supporters that if elected he would work assiduously to resolve the long tore electricity in the area. He insisted that if the BEDC fails, his administration, if elected, would make alternative arrangements for solar.
This, he explained is to revive the night life economy in the area. He condemned the idea of everyone going into his house by 7 pm when ordinarily businesses could still be conducted far into the night.
He assured that himself and his running mate would be servant leaders and that they would do what the people asked them to do.
In conclusion, Ighodalo urged the people to “follow person wey know road. The person wey no sabi road no go fit show you road.”
In his short speech, Barr Osarodion Ogie Esq, said they were in Oluku to show that they value the people because they too, valued them.
“My own na to thank una because una value us. So, we too, value una. Una do well.”
