Edo 2024: Hon. Sergius Ogun Parleys Ubiaja Elders, Youths
There was an outpouring of encomiums on the top contender for Edo state gubernatorial seat and immediate past member of the House of Representatives, Hon. ( Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasoche Ogun as he met with Ubiaja elders and youths yesterday, 2nd December, 2023.
The two time member of the House of Representatives who could not hide his emotions explained the reasons which necessitated his exit from PDP even as he informed them of his plans to officially join the Labour party on Monday.
The frontline governorship hopeful who recounted the challenges he faced in his attempts to unify his former party regretted that none of those efforts yielded any fruits. He however, assured the elders and youths that he has decided to pursue his governorship aspiration on the platform of another political party.
The meeting which took place at Cmr Elder Julius Onyon’s Compound in Ubiaja, Esan South-East LGA was powered by Comr Edoh Eromonsele Bright whose speech heralded Hon. Sergius Ogun’s address. Some of the elders including Elder Aletor, Elder Edobor and Elder Borah paid glowing tributes to the Oluese Nomioguele of Agbazilo while wishing him goodluck and success. The wishes and encomiums were sealed with prayers.
No doubt, this is just the beginning of the struggle to engender a better and greater Edo for all.
