Edo 2024: Esan Central LGA Ward 1 Leaders Unite for Ighodalo/Ogie’s Victory

In a strategic move ahead of the September 21, 2024, Edo State election, leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 1, Esan Central Local Government Area, convened a crucial meeting to mobilize support for the party’s candidate, Barr. Asuerinme Akintunde Ighodalo and Running mate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie.
The meeting, chaired by Ward Chairman Hon. Odion Evah, brought together a formidable gathering of 20 unit leaders, party executives, and stalwarts, including Apostle Matthew Ebhotemen, Okoedion Sunday, and Engr. Dr. Mike O. Enahoro. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to delivering the ward for the PDP candidates, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort.
Apostle Matthew Ebhotemen, LGA PDP Chairman, expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory, stating, “Those who have always won elections for us in this Ward are all here today. We have no reason to be afraid.” Okoedion Sunday reiterated the party’s resolve, declaring, “Last week, we told you that our candidate is in the race, and Barr. Ighodalo is the next Governor, God willing.”
The Director General of The Ighodalo Movement For Edo People (TIME), Engr. Dr. Mike O. Enahoro emphasized Barr. Ighodalo’s qualifications, saying, “He is the only candidate in the race who is qualified for the position. Others are all trying to use the back doors to have their ways” Enahoro also revealed that the Edo South Senatorial District has assured full support for the Ighodalo/Ogie ticket, urging the ward leaders to work towards securing at least 80% of the total votes in the Ward.
The meeting demonstrated the party’s determination to win the election, with leaders and stakeholders united in their quest for victory. The strategic gathering underscored the importance of grassroots mobilization and the role of ward leaders in shaping the outcome of the election.
As the election draws near, the PDP in Ward 1, Esan Central LGA, appears poised for a resounding victory, buoyed by the collective efforts of its leaders and stakeholders.
Among other leaders present are the Secretary to the LGA, Hon. Anthony Iselobhor, the Coordinator of TIME im Esan Central LGA, Mr. Usman Douglas, former APC Ward Chairman now member of the PDP, Hon. Anthony Ukeke, and others.
