EDO 2024; EDO CENTRAL PDP SPECIAL COMMITTEE TO ROLL OUT CRITERIA FOR SCREENING GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANTS
…as 9 aspirants submit letters of intent
The Special Committee set up by the PDP leadership of Edo Central Senatorial District to screen the party governorship aspirants from the Senatorial District, has declared that it will set out criteria for the exercise. This was made known in an expanded meeting of the committee held today in the Igueben county home of Sir Chief Tom Ikhimi.
The meeting which was attended by the members of the committee including the PDP State chairman, Dr Tony Aziegbemi, Sir Chief Tom Ikhimi and the 5 LGAs party chairmen in the Senatorial District, also had the elected Council chairmen, Civil Commissioners, elected members of the State House of Assembly and members of the State Executive Committee from the Senatorial District in attendance.
The Committee resolved to set out criteria to screen all the aspirants from the Senatorial District. The Committee also reiterated that it has no preferred aspirant and that the Screening will be done in the best interest of the party and Esan people so that the best candidate that can win the general elections will emerge at the end of the day.
So far, 9( nine) aspirants have submitted their letters of intent to the Senatorial Chairman, Bishop Anthony Okosun as earlier directed by the committee. The Committee advised all intending aspirants in the Senatorial District to submit their letters of intent to the Senatorial chairman before the close of the window
