Edo2024: APC boast of using federal might will not work….Amb. Tony Okonigene

A member of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) State Campaign Council and the Director Operations, Esan Central LGA PDP Campaign Council, Amb. Tony Okonigene, has debunked the much talked about use of Federal might by the APC in the coming governorship election as a mirage. He said that in Edo State, the PDP is not only in government but in power.
Amb. Okonigene made this remark on Saturday when he was addressing a cross section of Irrua youths in Eguare Parliament. He told the youths; ” I have heard in some quarters that the APC are boosting of using Federal might to rig the coming governorship election. That is their only consolatory hope because they know that Edo is purely PDP. If anyone tells you about using the so called Federal might, tell him or her that in Edo State, our party the PDP is not only in government but we are also in power.”
Amb. Tony Okonigene said that the people of Edo Central should be grateful to Governor Godwin Obaseki for making it possible for both the PDP and APC to produce their governorship candidates from the zone. He noted that but for the stance of the Governor, the APC would not have given its ticket to the zone.
He urged them to go for the best who happens to be the PDP candidate, Barr. Asue Ighodalo. ” We have produced Professor Ambrose Folorunsho Alli and Professor Oserheimen Osunbor before. We cannot afford to go below their standards in this millennium age” he concluded.
