Edo 2024: APC Attempt To Politicise Enigie/Palace Case Fails
…Edo people are wiser — Resident

All moves by the combined forces of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State to continue to politicise the case between some Enigie and The Palace in Benin City have failed. The case has now been adjourned till October 17.
Importantly, the move to recruit protesters to storm the court and create an atmosphere of chaos and anarchy also recorded an abysmal failure as no youth agreed to be recruited by politicians whose children are safely tucked away in Europe and America.
The case which came up on Monday July 15, was adjourned till October 17, effectively making it impossible for the puppeteers in the party to actualise their dastardly evil plan.
Reacting to the development on Monday, a resident in Benin City, Oredo Local Government Area, Mr Erasmus Igbinoghodua, said Edo people are wiser now. He added that no parent will allow his children to be used by politicians for their selfish motives again.
“I feel or think that Edo people are wiser than ever before. They have discovered that some people, particularly those who belong to Edo APC are just politicizing the case for their own selfish end. You can see that nobody agreed to be recruited to fight anybody. Parents were fantastic today. Nobody allowed his children to go out to protest because they know that the children of these politicians are all abroad in some safe haven. So, it is a good thing that the children don’t come out to be used as canon folders.
Now that the case has been adjourned till October 17, there will be moments of respite.
“It is despicable that some unscrupulous politicians are only interested in what benefits them and not the good of the majority,” he said.
