EDHA UPDATES: Member representing Ovia South West Constituency sworn in at plenary
The Member representing Ovia South-West Constituency, Hon Sunday Aghedo was today during plenary administered the necessary oath of office and sworn in by the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Yahaya Audu- Omogbai.
Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Chief) Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, welcomed the legislator, Congratulated him, and urged him to join the family of the 8th Assembly in which there is ‘no political affiliation but brotherly love and unity’.
Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku expressed commitment that the most important job they have is delivering on the mandate entrusted to them for adequate legislation for the people of Edo State and urged all members to work together for the development of the state.
The Speaker also announced the resumption of the Member representing Esan South East, Hon Sunny Ojiezele after the lifting of his suspension.
In his remarks, Hon. Sunny Ojiezele, a member representing Esan South East Constituency appreciated the Speaker and other members for their support and pardon. He pledged to work according to the rules of the House to best serve his Constituents who he explained, were concerned about his situation and showed him support and solidarity.
Present at plenary to witness the swearing-in of Hon Aghedo were the APC State Secretary, Engr Lawrence Okah, and other party Chieftains.
The House thereafter, adjourned sitting to Monday, February 12th, 2024.
