Democracy Day: Let Us Join Hands To Make The Country, Nigeria And Edo State More Productive And Secure … Hon. Victor Okosun
The Leader, Esan Central local government council legislative arm, Hon. Victor Ehis Okosun, has praised founding fathers of Nigeria democracy for their role in ensuring that democracy as a form of government takes root in Nigeria.
The leader who affirms his belief in democracy, said it is a sure way of guaranteeing all inclusive and active participation of the people in governance with all its dividends.
He stated this on Wednesday, in a release he personally signed and made available to the Press.
He explained that the commemoration of June, 12 as Democracy Day In Nigeria, underscores the huge price Nigerians paid to return governance from the military to civilian rule. He called on members of his immediate constituency-the good people of Esan central, the entire Edolites and Nigeria in general, to join hands to make the country and Edo State more productive and secured.
He described Nigeria youths as major partners in our democratic ideals and urged them to keep faith in the Nigeria project while contributing their quota to the development of the nation.
In the spirit of Democracy Day Celebration, the leader, Hon. Victor Ehis Okosun thanked the good people of ward 6 local Constituency, for entrusting him with the mandate to fly PDP ticket during the Chairmanship and councillorship election.
He assured them of multiplying the dividends of democracy within the nooks and crannies of his constituency.
While congratulating the people on this year’s 2024, Democracy Day Celebration, the Leader used the opportunity of the celebration to commend the maturity and forthrightness of the leaders and governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, the way he is going about his campaign and winning the heart of the people both home, diaspora and charged his constituents to continue their support for the candidate and PDP.
