Communique of The Edo Central PDP Senatorial Special Committee Meeting held on Saturday 11th November,2023 at the Residence of High Chief Sir Tom Ikimi .
The meeting was attended by the following committee members:-

6. Barr Mrs. Maria Edekor. Dep. Speaker EDHA ( Esan North East)
7. Hon. Joe Okojie Former Special Adviser to the Governor ( Esan North East)

Issues affecting the party at the State and Senatorial levels, particularly concerning the forthcoming Governorship election were deliberated upon.
The following resolutions were reached :-
1. That the Special Committee is the body that will work out the structure and procedures that will drive the Edo Agenda for a Governor of Esan extraction in 2024.
2. The committee is to appeal to other Senatorial districts for it to allow Edo Central Senatorial District produce the next Governor of the State for the purpose of fairness, Justice and equity, for which Edo People are known for
3. That the Committee will embark on Local Government tour within the district with a view to achieving its goal and foster unity and cohesion in the party, starting with Esan South East, Esan North East and Esan Central on Tuesday, 14th November, 2023
4. The committee will also meet with the aspirants with a view to pruning down the number of aspirants .
5. The committee directs all intending aspirants to submit their letters of intent to the Senatorial chairman, Archbishop Dr Anthony Okosun.
5. The committee will also visit other Senatorial Districts to solicit their support for the Governorship bid from Edo Central Senatorial district.
6. That the Committee will work for the unadulterated party unity of the Central Senatorial District
7. That the Committee will support the emergence of a candidate from the district no matter the Local Government the candidate emerges from.
