Chieftain of Labour in Esan Central, Comrade Rosemary Akwese Omenai, dumps party
Another bigwig from the Edo State Chapter of the Labour Party (LP),
Comrade Rosemary Akwese Omenai has dumped the Labour party.
Comrade Rosemary Akwese Omenai, is a community change agent, human development advocate and former Esan Central Local Government Vice Chairmanship candidate on the platform of the Labour Party.
This is coming barely 72 hours after a governorship aspirant, Dr. Azemenh Azanh dumped the party for ill treatments melted on him by the party leaders.
Comrade Rosemary Akwese Omenai announced her resignation in a letter dated January 29 to her Local ward chairman in ward, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State. Though she did not give reasons for her resignation.
She did not however say if she was defecting to another party but was silent on her political future.
The letter reads; RESIGNATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP FROM LABOUR PARTY
I wish to offer my letter of resignation from the labour party (LP), due to personal reasons.
As I exit the labour party, I formally thank the party for giving me the platform to serve as a former Vice Chairmanship candidate in the just concluded local government elections in Edo state and making me to serve in various leadership positions in the party which has increased my leadership experience.
Moreover, I wish the labour party well in her future endeavors and asked that you please accept the assurance of my higher consideration.
