Chief Tony Anenih Left Indelible Legacies, Says Hon. (Dr) Joseph Ikpea
Like other thousands of Nigerians and political icons, Hon Dr. Joseph Ikpea had over the weekend paid glowing tribute to a national builder and political enigma in the person of Late Chief Tony Anenih in commemoration of his 5th remembrance.
Dr Ikpea posited that the remembrance of the late Esan political leader of leaders should be seen beyond a political party recognition as he was a political leader to every state in Nigeria.
Hon. Ikpea called on every Esan indigenes for a broad and collective plan on how to celebrate an icon and a nation builder, whose departure has affected the Esan people politically and otherwise. He furthered that Late Chief Tony Anenih’s exploits left admirable indelible marks in the anals of history both in the national and international community.
In his memorial statement made available to newsmen, the Edo governorship hopeful remarked that Late Anenih has not been celebrated enough from his assessment. ‘Mr-Fix-It’ as he was fondly called made invaluable contributions to the nations growth and political development. He was among the very few that projected the Esan nation into political lime light and Edo witnessed political activism and visibility in his days.
In Dr Ikpea’s exact words, “Anenih’s legacies cannot be whisked away in a hurry. The refined politician of international repute was able to draw political relevance to Esan nation in particular; as such, he needs to be continually commended/eulogized, and same informed my message”
I pray his soul continue to rest in peace.
