CAF Women Champions League: Edo Queens $300, 000 richer
Edo Queens have claimed a whopping sum of $300,000, the minimum amount they will get peradventure they don’t progress to the final.
Even if they lose their semi-final match, the Edo Queens will have the opportunity to feature in the losers’ final match. If they win that, their purse will increase to $350,000.
The Nigeria Women Football League, (NWFL), champions defeated South-Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 on Saturday.
Edo Queens finished top of Group B with seven points from three games.
Egyptian side FC Masar finished as runners-up in the group.
Moses Aduku’s side will face TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic in the semi-final.
Hosts AS FAR and FC Masar will clash in the other last four tie.
