Benin Port Project: Nehikhare Blasts Imuse Over Comments, Asks Him To Wake Up From His Slumber
Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, has asked the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Col. David Imuse (rtd) to wake up from his slumber and face the reality of the possibility of the Benin Port Project promised by governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) being completed in the state.
Nehikhare in a statement entitled “Col. David Imuse: False Alarms and Fake Prophecies!, we have a good story to tell!, Edo State under Governor Godwin Obaseki has recorded tremendous gains”, said Imuse has still not waken up to the reality on ground even when others can smell the coffee from afar and are commending the governor for daring the impossible.
the Infuriated Commissioner gave a detailed account of how far the government has gone thus far with the project and how beneficial it would be to the people of the state and Nigeria at large when completed.
Nehikhare said, the political differences notwithstanding, Edo State government expected the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, to acknowledge the significant progress that the state has made in the last six and half years.
He added that there is still room for improvement no doubt, but Edo State under Governor Godwin Obaseki has recorded tremendous gains in terms of providing enabling environment for businesses and Edo people to thrive, pointing out that the Benin Port project is just one of the many good stories in the state government’s Steward!
He however maintained that it is clear that Col. David Imuse, a man who has also signified interest in running for governor in 2024, is at sea when processes and workings of transactions above sales and purchases of party nomination forms are being negotiated.
He said it is his pleasure to explain to him (Imuse) and his fellow party members, who ordinarily should be pleased with the progress made to make the Benin Port a reality, the intricacies and technicalities involved in the project.
He therefore thanked the people of the state for keeping faith with the government adding that the governor is very poised to serve them better
