The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of BEDC, Engr. Lawani Jonathan, disclosed this during the commissioning of the feeder at Ihovbor station in Uhunwode Local Government Area of Edo state.
Lawani added: “the 33KV line will supply electricity to two injection substations which would power the Federal Secretariat along Benin-Auchi road and other locations in the Ramat park axis.”
According to him, “As you are aware, the TCN has completed an upgrade. So, they have more power to give to disco.
“We have also taken the opportunity of that upgrade to construct a new feeder that will relief the existing Egba 33KV which before now supplies electricity to four connected injection substations along the Benin-Auchi, Agbor roads and new Benin.”
