A social mobilizer, Barr. Faith Obasuyi has commended the judgement of the three-man panel of the Edo Governorship Elections Petition which affirmed the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
Obasuyi, a legal practitioner based in Benin City, in a congratulatory message sent to the governor, said the judgement delivered by the tribunal on April 2, 2025, “is not just a victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC), but for all Edo citizens especially the electorate who participated in the September 2024 Edo State Governorship Election.”
While expressing confidence on the judiciary, she noted, “Our hope is renewed by the impartiality of the Judiciary, reinforcing our belief that every vote matters and the will of Edo people prevails.”
Obasuyi, an active and vibrant women mobilizer in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, also congratulated Edo people saying “Edo State is now in competent hands, and I believe they will be successful in establishing a lasting Legacy that future generations will be proud of.”
She equally admonished the people to be expectant, according to her, “Edo people must Arise, as we are now at the dawn of Project “SHINE”, an era that marks the beginning of a new chapter in our growing democracy.*
The vibrant lawyer maintained that Governor Monday Okpehbolo and his courageous collaborative Deputy Governor Rt, Hon. Dennis Idahosa are partners in progress.
