The Edo PDP 2024 governorship primary that produced Barr. Asue Ighodalo as its candidate, has been described as the best in recent times conducted by any political party. This assertion was made by a Spokesperson of The Asue/Ogie Campaign Organization, ESV Tony Okonigene. He made the remark while accepting a badge of honour on behalf of The Edo PDP governorship Candidate in the coming election, Barr. Asue Ighodalo, presented by The Ambrose Alli University Alumni, Abuja Branch, in Abuja on Friday.
ESV. Okonigene thanked the Alumni members for the recognition accorded Barr. Asue Ighodalo assuring them that under the watch of Ai as governor, the University will bounce back to become one of the best in the country. He said that Ai is committed to seeing that AAU attains the global acceptable standard required of a first class university.
He said that the PDP was very thorough in the processes that led to the nomination of Barr. Asue Ighodalo as its candidate. He recommended the primary as a benchmark for all political parties that believe in producing candidates with capacity, credibility and competence.
Earlier, the AAU Alumni, Abuja Branch Chairman, Amb. Dr. Peter Orobo, who was represented by the Secretary General, Mr Wole Akinboya and the Financial Secretary, Ojefua Angela Racheal, while presenting the batch of honour to Ai, said that the members of the Alumni see a bright future for the university with Barr. Asue Ighodalo as Governor of Edo State.
