APC Loses Ground In Ward 7 And 8 As Heavyweight Members Decamp To PDP In Orhionmwon

The Orhionmwon Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP dealt a big blow to the camp of the All Progressive Congress Guber Candidate Monday Okpebholo, as APC Prominent leaders and Stalwarts desert party and joined the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ward 7 and 8 in Orhionmwon.
The defectors, Former Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon Wilson Ogieva, Elder John Uhunwangho A.K.A Uroy, Hon Sunday Iyamu, Hon Osaretin Osaroyal, Chief BDK, among others, led their thousands of followers to embraced the umbrella party, PDP in Urhonigbe.
In their welcome address, Urhonigbe North and South Apex leaders, Hon Tony Otasowie and Mr Osaze Odemwingie, who spoke in unison appreciated the defectors for joining the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

On his part, Hon Wilson Ogieva who spoke on behalf of the defectors stated that APC has failed the people. He affirmed their readiness to work with members of the PDP to record more electoral successes for the party.
According to Hon Wilson Ogieva,”I am a founding member of APC. But when you are passing through the road and you noticed that there is no longer road there, you must return back. So today, which is 3rd of June, APC is death in Urhonigbe North and South. Henceforth, I am now one of the member of the PDP.” He noted with a shout of PDP.
While receiving the defectors, Orhionmwon Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Newman Ugiagbe commended Hon Wilson Ogieva and other defectors for joining PDP in the collective interest of the people of Orhionmwon who have suffered untold hardship under the APC-led government.
According to Hon Newman Ugiagbe,”It gladden my heart today that PDP has gains more members and more notable members in person of Wilson Ogieva, John Uhunwagho, Sunday Iyamu, Osaretin Osaroyal, among others, who came from APC with their followers to join PDP. It means that, Urhonigbe North and South is one way vote for PDP Candidates Dr Asue Ighadolo and Barr Osarodion Ogie.”
Continuing, Hon Newman Ugiagbe said,”We want to assure you that once you join the PDP, you have become a bonafide member and you are entitled to all rights enjoyed by those you met in the party. However, if you experience any form of marginalization at any level, PDP has internal disciplinary
mechanism that can resolve such things amicably.”
On his part, Orhionmwon PDP Chairman, Prince Stanley Iduoze presented the PDP umbrella to the newcomers and charged them to work with the party members to move the party forward.
Among the PDP leaders who were present at the elaborate event are:Hon.Bright Iyamu, Lady Uwa Osunbor, Hon.Nosayaba Okunbor, Hon.Osazee Ero Osemwengie, Barr. Osahon Ahunwan, Hon Sebastian Izekor, Hon Friday Ogierhiakhi, among others.
