APC Edo Central Youth Group rubbishes Purported Endorsement
PRESS RELEASE
We are members of APC Youths for Good Governance across the five LGAs of Edo Central who feel an urgent need to respond to the recent misadventure of one Alhaji Musa Isiwele who with a few people in his private residence to endorse a certain aspirant.
Whereas we respect his private right to support any candidate of his choice, we do not think it is fit and proper to massage his ego as an APC leader while doing such. It is at the very least incongruous for a man of his supposed standing to lower our communal standard for any reason at all.
The Esan APC appreciates the very recent support of Esan Nation given to our party for the very first time in 24 years under the leadership of Major Gen Cecil Esekhaegbe Rtd. We will therefore not want Alhaji Musa Isiwele or any other person to ridicule us as a party.
The people of Edo Central have since started a respectful appeal to our brothers and sisters from Edo North and South to support one of our own to be the next Governor of Edo State. Our appeal has been widely accepted by our brothers and sisters. While we respect Alhaji Musa’s choice to support who so ever, we advice him and any other political Isiwele to do it without dragging our dear party into their shenanigans or hold Esan land in disrespect.
We are by this address requesting our traditional leaders and institutions that first led the royal move to give Edo Central a place in 2024 to immediately call Alhaji Musa Isiwele to order. We also call on our *Senatorial leadership* of APC Edo Central as well as *Esan North East Chapter* of our party to quickly bring Alhaji Musa under check to forestall possible rise in emotions and tame every future “political Isiweles” in Esan land.
