Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has offered his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Niger State following the devastating petrol tanker explosion at Dikko Junction. The tragic incident resulted in the loss of numerous lives and left many others injured.
Hon. Ikpea described the event as a “heartbreaking tragedy” and expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims. He prayed for the souls of the departed to find eternal rest and for God to grant their families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Additionally, he wished for a swift and complete recovery for those injured. The tanker explosion, which occurred at Dikko Junction, along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, has been met with widespread condemnation and condolences from various leaders and organizations.
The Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NISEMA) reported that 98 persons were confirmed dead, with over 80 bodies given a mass burial.
