The Former Governor of Rivers State and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that what transpired between him and Rotimi Amaechi is not the same thing that is currently happening between him and Sim Fubara.
Nyesom Wike made this statement in an interview with Channels Television when he was reacting to claims that some people believe that Fubara betrayed him like he betrayed Amaechi. During the interview, Nyesom Wike said, “I was not with Amaechi. Amaechi did not bring me to be governor. With due respect, I was the one that did the work for Amaechi to be governor in 2007.”
“After making him minister, he went back to the national assembly to disqualify me. Bola Tinubu made me the Minister of FCT, but that does not mean that I will allow anybody to crumble our political structure, it will not happen. Nobody is talking about your governance. I challenge anybody, all the projects you are seeing now in Rivers State, I did the foundation.”
